TELEVISION: Requires certain communication companies to offer local channel access
through their networks
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 45:1356, relative to television; to require television broadcast providers to2
offer local broadcast channel access through their networks; and to provide for3
related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 45:1356 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6
ยง1356.  Local broadcast channel access required7
Any company offering television services in this state, including but not8
limited to satellite and cable, shall provide all customers with access to Federal9
Communications Commission (FCC) licensed Class A television stations, regardless10
of whether they are a high- or low-power provider.11
