Regular Session, 2012 HOUSE BILL NO. 870 BY REPRESENTATIVE JOHNSON HIGHWAYS: Provides relative to the cost of relocating utilities for state highway construction projects AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 48:381(C)(2)(c), relative to state highway rights-of-way; to provide that2 certain municipalities and parishes are not required to pay the cost of utility3 relocation associated with a state highway construction project; and to provide for4 related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 48:381(C)(2)(c) is hereby enacted to read as follows:7 ยง381. Use and occupancy of highways8 * * *9 C.10 * * *11 (2)12 * * *13 (c) No municipality or parish with a population fewer than five thousand14 persons shall be required to pay for the relocation of utilities associated with a state15 highway construction project.
