HOUSE BILL NO. 999

APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Joey E. Walker v. State of La. DOTD"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2
2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Joey E. Walker v.3
State of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, et al"; and to4
provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  The sum of Fifty Thousand and No/100 ($50,000.00) Dollars is hereby7
appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 to8
be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Joey E. Walker v. State of Louisiana9
Department of Transportation and Development, et al", bearing Number C-2004-180-A on10
the docket of the 33rd Judicial District Court, parish of Allen, state of Louisiana.11
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2012; if vetoed by the governor12
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,13
2012, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 14
