HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 118

COMMENDATIONS:  Commends Pastor Ronnie L. Traylor upon his ninth anniversary as
pastor of the Marion Missionary Baptist Church
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To commend Pastor Ronnie L. Traylor upon his ninth anniversary as pastor of the Marion2
Missionary Baptist Church in Marion, Louisiana.3
WHEREAS, Pastor Traylor is the son of J.W. Traylor and Mr. Hardy and Dorothy4
Traylor Staten; he was born in Monroe, Louisiana, where he has lived and worked5
throughout his entire life; and6
WHEREAS, Pastor Traylor accepted the call to preach the Gospel at the age of7
twenty-eight and was ordained one year later; and8
WHEREAS, Pastor Traylor served faithfully for four years as Youth Minister at the9
Saint Mary Baptist Church in Monroe before graciously moving to the Marion Missionary10
Baptist Church to serve as Under Shepherd; and11
WHEREAS, in his nine productive and dutiful years at Marion Missionary Baptist12
Church, Pastor Traylor has helped to increase his church's membership by more than two13
hundred individuals; and14
WHEREAS, in 2006, Pastor Traylor founded R.L. Traylor Ministries, Inc., which15
oversees the P.R.O.M.I.S.E. Food Pantry, which provides food to more than two hundred16
families in need each month; and17
WHEREAS, Pastor Traylor is a devoted father to three wonderful children, Ariadne18
Tamar, Rondarius Lamar, and Rontarius Jamar Traylor; and19 HLS 12RS-3482	ORIGINAL

WHEREAS, Pastor Ronnie L. Traylor merits a sincere measure of commendation1
for his faithful and committed service to God and the members of the Marion Missionary2
Baptist Church.3
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby4
commend Pastor Ronnie L. Traylor upon his ninth anniversary as pastor of the Marion5
Missionary Baptist Church in Marion, Louisiana, does hereby recognize the spiritual6
leadership, inspiration, and guidance that he provides to his church and community, and does7
hereby wish him full measures of success and happiness in the years to come.8
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted9
to Pastor Ronnie L. Traylor.10
