BY REPRESENTATIVE KLECKLEY
SPECIAL DAY/WEEK/MONTH: Commends the Public Administration Institute Student
Association (PAISA) at LSU and recognizes April 13, 2012, as the 14
th
annual
PAISA Day
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To commend the Public Administration Institute Student Association (PAISA) at Louisiana2
State University and to recognize April 13, 2012, as the fourteenth annual PAISA3
Day in the state of Louisiana.4
WHEREAS, the Public Administration Institute Student Association is the official5
student organization of the Public Administration Institute at Louisiana State University; and6
WHEREAS, the Public Administration Institute Student Association is known as7
PAISA to students, staff, and alumni of the Public Administration Institute at Louisiana State8
University; and9
WHEREAS, the public administration program at Louisiana State University and10
PAISA educate graduate students in classes and programs that address issues in government,11
health care, economics, budgeting, and statistics; and12
WHEREAS, the public administration curriculum also includes courses in political13
science and management, and the course work focuses on the analytical, quantitative, and14
management skills needed by today's successful public and private administrators; and15
WHEREAS, graduates of LSU's Public Administration Institute have obtained16
exciting jobs as presidential management interns in various federal agencies, budget analysts17
for federal, state, and local governments, staff assistants for congress and state legislatures,18
research directors and associates for private think-tanks, and administrators in health19

WHEREAS, all public administrators are vital to the continuing development of our1
state and country; and2
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the students of PAISA for their3
outstanding accomplishments.4
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby5
commend Louisiana State University's Public Administration Institute Student Association,6
an effective partner of the LSU Public Administration Institute in developing government7
managers and leaders, and does hereby recognize April 13, 2012, as the fourteenth annual8
PAISA Day in the state of Louisiana.9
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted10
to Carlos Malbrew, president of PAISA at LSU.11
