HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 30

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON
To urge and request the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to install
a traffic light at the intersection of LA 594 and Millhaven Road and the entrance to
Millhaven Estates Subdivision in Ouachita Parish.
WHEREAS, the subdivision of Millhaven Estates has only one entrance and exit onto
LA 594; and
WHEREAS, residents do not have the right-of-way when leaving the subdivision;
and
WHEREAS, this intersection has become highly congested and the location of
multiple vehicle accidents; and
WHEREAS, installing a traffic light at this intersection is needed to protect the safety
and welfare of pedestrians and drivers alike and to diminish the current public safety hazard
in this growing area of the parish.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
urge and request that the Department of Transportation and Development install a traffic
light at the intersection of LA 594 and Millhaven Road and the entrance to Millhaven Estates
Subdivision in Ouachita Parish.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development.
