ENROLLED Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2012 HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 36 BY REPRESENTATIVE COX A RESOLUTION To express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Artis Lynn Durr of Mansfield. WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the members of the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana have learned of the death of Artis Lynn Durr on Tuesday, March 4, 2012, at the age of sixty-five; and WHEREAS, Artis Lynn Durr was born on June 27, 1946, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana; and WHEREAS, Mr. Durr served in the United States Navy, and for more than twenty- eight years, he served with the Shreveport Fire Department, in addition to operating his own business, Durr's Heating and A/C; and WHEREAS, Mr. Durr is preceded in death by his parents, J.Y. and Lillian Blue Durr; and his grandchildren, Haize, Jaxon, and Elijah Durr; and WHEREAS, Mr. Durr is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Joyce Nell Patrick Durr; sons, Patrick Durr and wife, Shanna, Kristopher Durr and wife, Melinda, and Keith Durr and wife, Crystal; grandchildren, Kayle Harrington Durr, Annie Hadley Durr, Kameron Durr, Kadin Durr, Raygan Durr, Levi Durr, and another expected grandson due in June, Blocker Durr; sisters, Dorla Collins and Thelma Kreeger, and brother, Truman Durr; and WHEREAS, the death of Artis Lynn Durr has left a tremendous void in his community and has created a genuine sense of sorrow in the many people whose lives he touched. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Artis Lynn Durr of Mansfield, does hereby record for prosperity his contributions ENROLLEDHR NO. 36 Page 2 of 2 to the state of Louisiana, and does hereby extend enduring appreciation for the tremendous pride and honor that this wonderful man will forever bring to his family, friends, community, state, and nation.
