Regular Session, 2012 ENROLLED SENATE BILL NO. 140 BY SENATOR ALARIO AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 47:1908(A)(26) and (C), relative to expenses of assessors; to2 increase the amount the assessor of Jefferson Parish is allowed for clerical and other3 expenses; and to provide for related matters.4 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 47:1908(A)(26) and (C) are hereby amended and reenacted to read7 as follows: 8 ยง1908. Expenses9 A. In the performance of all duties required of them by law, the said tax10 assessors shall have allowed to each for clerical and other expenses, the amounts11 hereinafter set forth for each:12 * * *13 26. The provisions of this Section shall apply to the annual expense allowance16 of the assessors throughout the state for the year 2007 2012 and subsequent years.17 The said assessors shall be paid the expense allowance provided for herein, for18 making the assessments for the year 2007 2012 and subsequent years.19 * * *20 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not21 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature22 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.
