AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 27:306(A)(5)(d), relative to the operation of video draw poker2
devices at qualified truck stop facilities; to provide with respect to the closing of3
certain amenities of a qualified truck stop facility; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 27:306(A)(5)(d) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6

(d) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the owner or10
lessor of a qualified truck stop facility, except for a qualified truck stop facility11
located in Orleans Parish, may close the restaurant on the premises of the qualified12
truck stop facility during a legal holiday as defined in R.S. 1:55	(B)(1)(a).13

Section 2. In the event Senate Bill 575 of the 2012 Regular Session is enacted into15
law, the Louisiana State Law Institute is hereby directed to redesignate R.S. 27:306(A)(5)(d)16
as amended in this Act as R.S. 27:418(C).17
