(gov sig) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 17:3128(A), relative to the Board of Regents; to provide for2 power to formulate master plan; to prohibit the board from considering mandatory3 self-assessed student fees in certain calculations; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 17:3128(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง3128. Power to formulate master plan; mission establishment7 A. (1) The Board of Regents shall have the power to formulate and make8 timely revision of a master plan for postsecondary education. As a minimum, the9 plan shall include a formula for equitable distribution of funds to the institutions of10 postsecondary education. The board shall submit its plan and formula for funding to11 the governor and the legislature.12 (2) Notwithstanding any other law or rule to the contrary, the board13 shall not consider any mandatory self-assessed student athletic fee in any14 calculations included in such formula.15 Section 2.
