Page 1 of 1 Regular Session, 2012 ENROLLED SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 71 BY SENATOR JOHNS A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON To designate May 16, 2012, as Louisiana Housing Council Day. WHEREAS, the Louisiana Housing Council is composed of over two hundred public housing entities across the state; and WHEREAS, the Louisiana Housing Council promotes and advances decent, safe, and sanitary housing for low income persons in the state; and WHEREAS, the Louisiana Housing Council fosters and promotes within Louisiana the programs sponsored by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials; and WHEREAS, the Louisiana Housing Council encourages the common good and welfare of the municipalities, parishes, and state, and their inhabitants in providing decent, safe, and sanitary housing, thereby benefitting society by reducing the cause of crime, poor health, and blighted conditions. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby designate May 16, 2012, as Louisiana Housing Council Day.
