APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the Department of Transportation and Development in the matter of "Donna Gay
Nash v. Gilchrist Construction Company, LLC, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2013-2
2014 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Donna Gay Nash,3
individually and as the natural tutor of her minor daughter, Danikka J'Na Nash v.4
Gilchrist Construction Company, LLC., and State of Louisiana through the5
Department of Transportation and Development"; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Thirty-Two Thousand and No/100 ($32,000.00) Dollars is8
hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2013-9
2014 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Donna Gay Nash,10
individually and as the natural tutor of her minor daughter, Danikka J'Na Nash v. Gilchrist11
Construction Company, LLC., and State of Louisiana through the Department of12
Transportation and Development", bearing Number 2010-4812 on the docket of the13
Fourteenth Judicial District Court, parish of Calcasieu, state of Louisiana.14
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2013; if vetoed by the governor15
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,16
2013, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 17 HLS 13RS-866 ORIGINAL
