APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the Department of Transportation and Development in the matter of "Jennifer Ardoin
v. Gilchrist Construction Company, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2013-2
2014 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Jennifer Ardoin v.3
Gilchrist Construction Company, LLC and State of Louisiana, Department of4
Transportation and Development"; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. The sum of Eighteen Thousand and No/100 ($18,000.00) Dollars is7
hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2013-8
2014 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Jennifer Ardoin v. Gilchrist9
Construction Company, LLC and State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and10
Development", bearing Number 2011-1917 on the docket of the Fourteenth Judicial District11
Court, parish of Calcasieu, state of Louisiana.12
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2013; if vetoed by the governor13
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,14
2013, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 15 HLS 13RS-865 ORIGINAL
