APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Barbara Ann Thibodeaux Rando, et ux v. Troy D. Furr and State Farm
Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, Progressive Security Insurance Company,
and State of La. through DOTD"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2013-2
2014 to be used to pay the consent judgment in favor of Daniel Rando, in the suit3
entitled "Barbara Ann Thibodeaux Rando, et ux v. Troy D. Furr and State Farm4
Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, Progressive Security Insurance Company,5
and State of Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and Development";6
and to provide for related matters.7
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8
Section 1. The sum of Ten Thousand and No/100 ($10,000.00) Dollars is hereby9
appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 to10
be used to pay the consent judgment in favor of Daniel Rando, in the suit entitled "Barbara11
Ann Thibodeaux Rando, et ux v. Troy D. Furr and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance12
Company, Progressive Security Insurance Company, and State of Louisiana through the13
Department of Transportation and Development", bearing Number 556,756, Section 24, on14
the docket of the Nineteenth Judicial District Court, parish of East Baton Rouge, state of15
Louisiana.16
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2013; if vetoed by the governor17
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,18
