FUNDS/FUNDING: Provides for the distribution of the Shreveport Riverfront and
Convention Center and Independence Stadium Fund
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 47:302.2(C)(1)(b), relative to the Shreveport Riverfront and2
Convention Center and Independence Stadium Fund; to provide for the purpose of3
monies in the fund; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related4
matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 47:302.2(C)(1)(b) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as7
follows: 8
ยง302.2.  Disposition of certain collections in the city of Shreveport9

C. Subject to an annual appropriation by the legislature, monies in the fund11
shall be used as follows:12
(1)  For allocation from all monies in the fund in the following amounts:13

(b) Three percent for African-American Multi-Cultural Tourism Commission15

Abstract: Changes allocations of the Shreveport Riverfront and Convention Center and
Independence Stadium Fund.
Present law provides for the distribution of monies in the Shreveport Riverfront and
Convention Center and Independence Stadium Fund. Provides that 3% of monies in the fund
shall be allocated to the African-American Multi-Cultural Tourism Commission.
Proposed law instead provides that such 3% shall be allocated to the Shreveport African
American Chamber of Commerce.
(Amends R.S.. 47:302.2(C)(1)(b))
