AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 13:5554(CC), relative to the premium costs of group insurance for retired2
sheriffs and employees of Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office; to provide for eligibility3
for payment of premium costs; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 13:5554(CC) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6

CC. Notwithstanding the provisions of Subsection D of this Section, the9
Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office shall pay the premium costs of group insurance for10
any retired sheriff and any retired employee hired on or after September 1, 2013,11
who retired from the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office as follows:12
(1) One hundred percent of the premium costs of group hospital, surgical,13
medical expense, vision and dental insurance, and life insurance contracted for under14
the provisions of this Section if the sheriff or employee retired with thirty years or15
more of service with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office, regardless of age.16
(2) Fifty percent of the premium costs of group hospital, surgical, medical17
expense, vision and dental insurance, and life insurance contracted for under the18
provisions of this Section if the sheriff or employee retired with twenty years of19
service with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office and is at least fifty-five years of age.20 ENROLLEDHB NO. 360

(3) The provisions of Paragraph (G)(1) of this Section shall apply to all1
persons hired by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office prior to September 1, 2013.2
