AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 32:1521(A), relative to the transportation of hazardous materials;2 to provide additional routes on which certain carriers are prohibited from3 transporting hazardous materials; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 32:1521(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6 ยง1521. Restrictions on transportation of hazardous materials7 A.(1) No carrier shall transport hazardous materials on Louisiana Highway8 73 between Interstate 10 and Louisiana Highway 74 and within three hundred yards9 or less of any building used as a public or private elementary or secondary school,10 except for carriers making local deliveries on this portion of Highway 73.11 (2) No carrier shall transport hazardous materials on that portion of12 Louisiana Highway 48 designated as Apple Street in Norco, except for carriers13 making local pickups or deliveries, carriers using the route to reach a local14 pickup or delivery point, or carriers using the route to reach maintenance or15 service facilities.16 * * *17 PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF LOUISIANA APPROVED: ACT No. 28
