AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 33:4574.1.1(Q)(4), relative to Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission; to2
provide for expenditure of funds; to provide relative to certain municipalities; to3
provide for an effective date; and to provide for related matters.4
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  R.S. 33:4574.1.1(Q)(4) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7

(4)(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, all12
revenue collected by the Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission from the levy13
of an additional tax on the occupancy of hotel rooms, motel rooms, and14
overnight camping facilities as authorized by Subparagraph (1)(a) of this15
Subsection which are allocated for the town of Gueydan and for the village of16
Maurice may be expended directly by the town or village for the improvement17
of recreational parks and facilities or for youth recreation purposes.18
(b) The authority to expend the revenue directly as provided in19
Subparagraph (a) of this Paragraph shall expire September 1, 2014.20

Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not22
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature23
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If24

vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become1
effective on the day following such approval.2
