SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 109
BY SENATOR JOHNS AND REPRESENTATI VE GEYMANN 
COMMENDATIONS.  Commends the St. Louis Catholic High School Lady Saints track
team on winning the 2013 Class 4A Girls Outdoor Track and Field state championship.
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To commend the St. Louis Catholic High School Lady Saints track team on winning the2
2013 Class 4A Girls Outdoor Track and Field state championship.3
WHEREAS, the Lady Saints started and finished strong in a dominant ninety point4
win at the Class 4A state track and field championship meet; and5
WHEREAS, early in the meet, they picked up sixteen points in the field with Drew6
Chatters finishing third in the javelin, and Rhea Thompson winning the shot put with a throw7
of thirty-nine feet, eight inches, as well as an incredible win in the discus; and8
WHEREAS, a second-place finish by Destinee Delahoussaye in the high jump and9
an impressive run in the 4x200-meter relay gave the Lady Saints a seventeen point lead over10
the Plaquemine High School Lady Green Devils after seven events; and11
WHEREAS, the 4x100-meter relay team of Brianna Soram, Christi Clemons,12
Shondalynn Jasmine, and Hannah Jackson won in forty-seven point sixty-eight seconds, and13
the Lady Saints scored in the next three events with Brianna Soram finishing third in the14
400-meters, Shondalynn Jasmine coming in second in the 300-meter hurdles, and Hannah15
Jackson finishing fourth in the 200-meters to go up by twenty points to clinch the16
championship title with two events remaining; and17
WHEREAS, Lady Saints players Sarah Booth, Christi Clemons, Destinee18 SCR NO. 109

Delahoussaye, Jodan Fuselier, Hillary Henning, Drew Chatters, Annaleigh Drost, Madeline1
Koenig, Maddie Mack, Frances Thompson, Mallory Baca, Jamie Gilmore, Lauren2
Hammond, Hannah Jackson, Elaina Kilpatrick, Mary Claire Shearmann, Brianna Soram,3
Sydney Witherwax, Kelsi Berlin, Ellen Briley, Jordan Gautreaux, Shondalynn Jasmine,4
Hannah McCloskey, Shayla Stevens, and Rhea Thompson performed with extraordinary5
athleticism and skill throughout the regular season and the postseason to earn the6
championship title; and7
WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved8
without the guidance and support of head coach, Tommy Johns, assistant coaches Donovan9
Anderson, Johnny Giordano, Trey Harts, Chris Jones, Greg Latour, and Bill Painter, and all10
of the other individuals who have contributed to the success of the Lady Saints track11
program; and12
WHEREAS, the members of the Legislature of Louisiana wish to recognize each of13
the coaches and the extraordinary young women of the Lady Saints track team on their much14
deserved championship title which was earned through teamwork, determination,15
athleticism, and dedication to the sport of track and field.16
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby17
commend and congratulate the players and coaches of the St. Louis Catholic High School18
Lady Saints track team on an impressive and memorable season, and on capturing the 201319
Class 4A Girls High School Outdoor Track and Field state championship.20
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the21
head coach of the St. Louis Catholic High School Lady Saints track team, Tommy Johns,22
and to the principal of St. Louis Catholic High School, Ted Nixon.23
