Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2013 ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 164 BY SENATOR GALLOT A RESOLUTION To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the passing of Christopher Jordan Ferguson. WHEREAS, Christopher was born on March 13, 1991, to the parentage of Faye Perry Dillon and Cecil Ferguson Jr.; and WHEREAS, Christopher graduated from Grambling Elementary School, attended Ruston Junior High School, and graduated from Grambling High School where he was named Honorary Linebacker of the Year 2009; and WHEREAS, he attended Navarro College where he majored in Computer Information Systems and Brookhaven College majoring in Automotive Engineering; and WHEREAS, he accepted Christ at a young age at South Parkway Worship Center in Ruston and later attended Kingdom of God church in Dallas, TX; and WHEREAS, Christopher avidly enjoyed music, philosophizing, fishing, hunting, playing football, baseball, and basketball; and WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his brothers Quaylin Larmonte Dillion and Cecil Ferguson III; and WHEREAS, he leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Faye Perry Dillon, his father, Cecil Ferguson Jr., Lizzie Ferguson, whom he affectionately called his second mother, his sisters, Cosharie Houston, LaShaundrea Rene' Ferguson, and Angel Shantrel Prance, his brothers, Derrithe LaMar and J'Air Ibe Ferguson, his grandmothers, Lena B. Houston and Alverne Perry, along with a host of family and friends; and WHEREAS, Christopher will be greatly missed and cherished forever. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express sincere condolences to the family of Christopher Jordan Ferguson and extends sympathy during their time of sorrow.
