SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 50
BY SENATOR GALLOT 
COMMENDATIONS.  Commends Pastor Elbert Demery Jr. for 19 years of service at
Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in St. Maurice.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend and honor Pastor Elbert Demery Jr. for his commitment to his faith and2
community which is so clearly evident in his nineteen years of service at the3
Evergreen Baptist Church in St. Maurice.4
WHEREAS, Pastor Elbert Demery Jr. is a powerful pastor, preacher, teacher and5
leader; and 6
WHEREAS, he was called by God to teach and preach the life-changing Word of7
God; and8
WHEREAS, Pastor Demery has been married to Alsena Demery for thirty-one years9
and they are the parents of four children: Tyeeka, Nicole, Wanda, and Elbert III, and the10
proud grandparents of three boys; and11
WHEREAS, Pastor Demery is a graduate of the United Theological Seminary and12
Bible College in Shreveport, Louisiana, with a bachelor's and master's degree in theology;13
and14
WHEREAS, he is one of the organizers of the Natchitoches Ministers Fellowship.15
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana16
does hereby commend Pastor Demery, an anointed and dynamic deliverer of the Word of17
God who ministers with such power, authority, and conviction that it changes the lives of18 SR NO. 50

all who hear him, for nineteen years of service at the Evergreen Baptist Church in St.1
Maurice.2
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to3
Pastor Elbert Demery Jr.4
