Page 1 of 1 Regular Session, 2013 ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 50 BY SENATOR GALLOT A RESOLUTION To commend and honor Pastor Elbert Demery Jr. for his commitment to his faith and community which is so clearly evident in his nineteen years of service at the Evergreen Baptist Church in St. Maurice. WHEREAS, Pastor Elbert Demery Jr. is a powerful pastor, preacher, teacher and leader; and WHEREAS, he was called by God to teach and preach the life-changing Word of God; and WHEREAS, Pastor Demery has been married to Alsena Demery for thirty-one years and they are the parents of four children: Tyeeka, Nicole, Wanda, and Elbert III, and the proud grandparents of three boys; and WHEREAS, Pastor Demery is a graduate of the United Theological Seminary and Bible College in Shreveport, Louisiana, with a bachelor's and master's degree in theology; and WHEREAS, he is one of the organizers of the Natchitoches Ministers Fellowship. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Pastor Demery, an anointed and dynamic deliverer of the Word of God who ministers with such power, authority, and conviction that it changes the lives of all who hear him, for nineteen years of service at the Evergreen Baptist Church in St. Maurice. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Pastor Elbert Demery Jr. PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE
