SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 88

A RESOLUTION
To recognize May 6-12, 2013, as "Child Care Provider Appreciation Week in Louisiana".
WHEREAS, of the twenty million children under age five in America, over eleven
million are in some form of child care setting; and
WHEREAS, by calling attention to the importance of high quality child care services
for all children and families within our state and communities, the Childcare Association of
Louisiana hopes to improve the quality and availability of childcare services; and
WHEREAS, our future depends on the quality of the early childhood experiences
provided to young children today; and
WHEREAS, high quality early childcare services represent a worthy commitment
to our children's future.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby recognize May 6-12, 2013, as "Child Care Provider Appreciation Week in
Louisiana".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all citizens recognize child care providers for
their important work in the area of early childhood education.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to T.
Wyatt Graves, President of the Childcare Association of Louisiana and to Cindy Bishop,
Executive Director, Childcare Association of Louisiana.
