AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 33:9022(5), relative to nonprofit economic development2
corporations; to provide with respect to definitions; to authorize economic3
development districts and authorities to authorize creation of nonprofit economic4
development corporations; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 33:9022(5) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:7
ยง9022. Definitions8
The following terms, whenever used or referred to in this Chapter, shall have9
the following meaning unless a different meaning is otherwise clearly indicated in10
the context:11

(5) "Local governmental subdivision" means any parish , or municipality, or13
any port commission, or port harbor and terminal district, or any economic14
development district or authority created as a political subdivision of the state as15
defined in the Constitution of Louisiana.16
