AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 13:783(F)(7), relative to the payment of group insurance2
premium costs for certain clerk of court employees; to require the clerks of court for3
Bossier Parish, Caddo Parish, and Webster Parish to pay certain group insurance4
premium costs; to provide for eligibility for payment of such costs; and to provide5
for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. R.S. 13:783(F)(7) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:8

(7) In the parishes of  Bossier, Caddo, Caldwell, Franklin, Grant, LaSalle,13
Webster, and Winn, the clerk of court shall pay, from the clerk's salary fund, one14
hundred percent of the premium costs of the group life and accidental death and15
dismemberment, group health, accident, dental, hospital, surgical, or other medical16
expense insurance for any employee that retires from the Bossier Parish clerk of17
court's office, the Caddo Parish clerk of court's office, the Caldwell Parish clerk of18
court's office, the Franklin Parish clerk of court's office, the Grant Parish clerk of19
court's office, the LaSalle Parish clerk of court's office, the Webster Parish clerk of20
court's office, or the Winn Parish clerk of court's office who is entitled to receive21
monthly benefits from the Louisiana Clerks' of Court Retirement and Relief Fund,22
who has at least twenty years of full-time service with the clerk of court's office in23
Bossier Parish, Caddo Parish, Caldwell Parish, Franklin Parish, Grant Parish, LaSalle24 ENROLLEDHB NO. 1104

Parish, Webster Parish, or Winn Parish, and who is at least fifty-five years of age.1
The provisions of this Paragraph shall not apply to any other insurance, such as2
supplemental insurance, that an employee may elect to purchase.3
