AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 26:90(A)(1)(a)(vi) and 286(A)(1)(a)(vi), relative to selling or serving2
alcoholic beverages; to authorize the use of certain identification cards from another3
state as acceptable identification for being sold or served alcoholic beverages; and4
to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 26:90(A)(1)(a)(vi) and 286(A)(1)(a)(vi) are hereby enacted to read7
as follows: 8
§90. Acts prohibited on licensed premises; suspension or revocation of permits9
A. No person holding a retail dealer's permit and no agent, associate,10
employee, representative, or servant of any such person shall do or permit any of the11
following acts to be done on or about the licensed premises:12
(1)(a) Sell or serve alcoholic beverages to any person under the age of13
twenty-one years, unless such person submits any one of the following:14

(vi) A valid, current, special identification card of another state which16
contains a photograph of the person and birth date of the person submitting the17
identification card.18

§286. Acts prohibited on licensed premises; suspension or revocation of permits20
A. No person holding a retail dealer's permit and no servant, agent, or21
employee of the permittee shall do any of the following acts upon the licensed22

(1)(a) Sell or serve beverages of low-alcoholic content to any person under1
the age of twenty-one years, unless such person submits any one of the following:2
