BY REPRESENTATIVES GUINN, BROWN, GISCLAIR, HONORE, AND NORTON
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 56:1948.5(47) and to enact R.S. 56:1948.5(65), relative to2
Louisiana Byways; to designate sections of certain highways as the Flyway Byway;3
to provide relative to the Creole Nature Trail All-American road route; and to4
provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  R.S. 56:1948.5(47) is hereby amended and reenacted and R.S.7
56:1948.5(65) is hereby enacted to read as follows:8
ยง1948.5.  Louisiana Byways designations9
The following highways and sections of highways are hereby designated as10
Louisiana Byways:11

(47)  Creole Nature Trail All-American road route: Louisiana Highway 2713
beginning at Sulphur in Calcasieu Parish, south to Hollybeach in Cameron Parish at14
the junction with Louisiana Highway 82; Louisiana Highway 82 west to the Texas15
state line, and east to Louisiana Highway 27/82 to Creole, south on Louisiana16
Highway 27 to Oak Grove, east on Louisiana Highway 82 to the Vermilion Parish17
line; Louisiana Highway 385 south beginning at the intersection of McNeese Street18
in Calcasieu Parish to Louisiana Highway 384 proceeding east to Louisiana Highway19
27 and proceeding south on Louisiana Highway 27 to Creole; or, alternate spur,20
extending east from Holmwood on Louisiana Highway 14, through the communities21
of Bell City and Hayes, to Illinois Plant Road, and proceeding south on Illinois Plant22
Road to its conclusion on Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge.23

(65) Flyway Byway: LA 99 from its intersection with the westbound ramps1
of I-10 south to its intersection with LA 14, including its routing through Welsh;2
Illinois Plant Road from the Jefferson Davis-Cameron Parish line north to its3
intersection with LA 14; LA 14 from its intersection with Illinois Plant Road east to4
the Jefferson Davis-Vermilion Parish line, including its routing through Lake Arthur;5
LA 3056 from the Jefferson Davis-Cameron Parish line north to its intersection with6
LA 14; LA 26 from its intersection with LA 14 north to its intersection with North7
Frontage Road at the Oil and Gas Park north of I-10, including its routing through8
Lake Arthur and Jennings; and US 90 from its intersection with LA 99 in Welsh east9
to its intersection with LA 26 in Jennings including its routing through Roanoke.10
