APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Jules Etienne, Jr. v. State of Louisiana, through the DOTD"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Jules Etienne, Jr. v.3
State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development"; and4
to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. The sum of Fifty Thousand and No/100 ($50,000.00) Dollars is hereby7
appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 to8
be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Jules Etienne, Jr. v. State of9
Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development", bearing Number10
73196-E on the docket of the Sixteenth Judicial District Court, parish of St. Martin, state of11
Louisiana.12
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014; if vetoed by the governor13
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014,14
or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 15 HB NO. 147
