ATTORNEY GENERAL: Requires quarterly reporting on all contracts with the attorney
general
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 49:260, relative to the attorney general, to require the attorney general to2
submit reports on contracts; to provide for the form, frequency, recipients, and3
content of such reports; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 49:260 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6
ยง260.  Quarterly report on contracts7
The attorney general shall submit to the legislative auditor, the commissioner8
of administration, and the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget a quarterly9
status report on contracts entered into by the attorney general.  The format of the10
status report shall be determined by the commissioner of administration. Such status11
report shall include but not be limited to the following information for each contract12
for which payment has been made in the fiscal year:13
(1)  A description of the contract.14
(2)  The name of the payee.15
(3)  The amount paid in the prior quarter.16
(4)  The amount paid to date in the current fiscal year.17

Abstract: Requires the attorney general to submit a quarterly status report on contracts.
Proposed law requires the attorney general to submit a quarterly status report on contracts
entered into by the attorney general to the legislative auditor, the commissioner of
administration, and the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget.  The format shall be
determined by the commissioner of administration. Provides that the status report shall
include, for each contract for which payment has been made in the fiscal year the following:
(1)A description of the contract.
(2)The name of the payee.
(3)The amount paid in the prior quarter.
(4)The amount paid to date in the current fiscal year.
(5)The total amount paid to date over the term of the contract.
