HOUSE BILL NO. 182
BY REPRESENTATIVE GREENE
APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Charles J. Baggese, IV. v. Schneider National, Inc. and/or Schneider Bulk
Carriers, Inc., and/or Schneider National Carriers, Inc., John Doe, State of Louisiana
through the DOTD; ABC Insurance Company"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Charles J. Baggese,3
IV. v. Schneider National, Inc., and/or Schneider Bulk Carriers, Inc., and/or4
Schneider National Carriers, Inc., John Doe, State of Louisiana through the5
Department of Transportation and Development; ABC Insurance Company"; and to6
provide for related matters.7
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8
Section 1. The sum of Seventeen Thousand and No/100 ($17,000.00) Dollars is9
hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-10
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Charles J. Baggese, IV. v.11
Schneider National, Inc., and/or Schneider Bulk Carriers, Inc., and/or Schneider National12
Carriers, Inc., John Doe, State of Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and13
Development; ABC Insurance Company", bearing Number 09-1160, Division "J", on the14
docket of the Civil District Court, parish of Orleans, state of Louisiana.15
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014; if vetoed by the governor16
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,17
2014, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 18 HLS 14RS-944	ORIGINAL
