AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 40:964(Schedule IV)(B)(1) and to enact R.S. 40:964(Schedule2
II)(E)(3), (Schedule III)(B)(15), (E)(29.1) and (53.1), and (Schedule IV)(B)(1.5) and3
(D)(13), relative to the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law; to add4
certain substances to Schedules II, III, and IV; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 40:964(Schedule IV)(B)(1) is hereby amended and reenacted and7
R.S. 40:964 (Schedule II)(E)(3), (Schedule III)(B)(15), (E)(29.1) and (53.1), and (Schedule8
IV)(B)(1.5) and (D)(13) are hereby enacted to read as follows: 9

Schedules I, II, III, IV, and V shall, unless and until added to pursuant to R.S.11
40:962, consist of the following drugs or other substances, by whatever official12
name, common or usual name, chemical name, or brand name designated:13

E. Immediate precursors. Unless specifically excepted or unless listed in17
another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which contains18
any quantity of the following substances:19

B. Depressants. Unless specifically excepted or unless listed in another3
schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which contains any4
quantity of the following substances having a depressant effect on the central5
nervous system:6

E. Anabolic steroids and muscle building substances. Unless specifically10
excepted or unless listed in another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or11
preparation, containing any quantity of the following substances, including its salts,12
esters, ethers, isomers, and salts of isomers whenever the existence of such salts,13
esters, ethers, isomers, and salts of isomers is possible within the specific chemical14
designation. The term "anabolic steroid" means any drug or hormonal substance,15
chemically and pharmacologically related to testosterone, other than estrogens,16
progestins, corticosteroids, and dehydroepiandrosterone that promote muscle growth17
and include the following:18
