AN ACT1
To amend and reenact Section 3 of Act No. 437 of the 2013 Regular Session of the2
Legislature, relative to a proposed constitutional amendment to require certain3
residency specifications for members of the Wildlife and Fisheries Commission; to4
remove the effective date reference contained in the ballot language for such5
proposed constitutional amendment; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. Section 3 of Act No. 437 of the 2013 Regular Session of the Legislature8
is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follow:9
Section 3. Be it further resolved that on the official ballot to be used at the10
election, there shall be printed a proposition, upon which the electors of the state11
shall be permitted to vote YES or NO, to amend the Constitution of Louisiana, which12
proposition shall read as follows:13
Do you support an amendment to require that two members of the Wildlife14
and Fisheries Commission be electors from parishes located north of the15
parishes of Beauregard, Allen, Evangeline, Avoyelles, and Pointe Coupee?16
(Effective January 1, 2015) (Amends Article IX, Section 7(A))17
Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not18
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature19
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If20 ENROLLEDHB NO. 241

vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become1
effective on the day following such approval.2
