AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 33:2211(A), relative to the city of Mandeville; to provide that laws2
governing employment of municipal police, including matters of compensation, leave, and3
hours, do not apply to Mandeville; to provide relative to effectiveness; and to provide for4
related matters.5
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published as6
provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of Louisiana.7
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8
Section 1. R.S. 33:2211(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:9
ยง2211. Applicability; definition of "employee of police department"10
A.(1) The Except as provided in Paragraph (2) of this Subsection and as otherwise11
specified in R.S. 33:2212.1, provisions of this Subpart shall apply to municipalities having12
a population of not less than twelve thousand nor more than two hundred fifty thousand ;13
however,.14
(2)(a) R.S. 33:2214 shall not apply to the city of Westwego.15
(b) The provisions of this Subpart, including R.S. 33:2212.1, shall not apply to the16
city of Mandeville.17

Section 2. The provisions of this Act shall be given retroactive and prospective effect.19
