Abstract: Provides that the legislature may enact a local law regarding minimum wage.
Present constitution provides that the legislature shall not pass a local or special law regarding
labor, trade, manufacturing, or agriculture; fixing the rate of interest.
Proposed constitutional amendment provides an exception to present constitution, which would
allow the legislature to enact a local or special law regarding minimum wage.
Provides for submission of the proposed amendment to the voters at the statewide election to be
held Nov. 4, 2014.
