APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Robert L. Knippers and Lessie T. Knippers v. State of Louisiana DOTD,
et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2
2015 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Robert L. Knippers3
and Lessie T. Knippers v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of4
Transportation and Development and Gilchrist Company, LLC"; and to provide for5
related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Thirty Thousand and No/100 ($30,000.00) Dollars is hereby8
appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 to9
be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Robert L. Knippers and Lessie T.10
Knippers v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development11
and Gilchrist Company, LLC", bearing Number 59,598-A on the docket of the Eleventh12
Judicial District Court, parish of Sabine, state of Louisiana.13
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2014; if vetoed by the governor14
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,15
2014, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 16 HB NO. 73
