HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 115
BY REPRESENTATIVES LORUSSO AND CARTER
A RESOLUTION
To commend Rheagan Courville of the Louisiana State University gymnastics team for her
outstanding accomplishments during the 2014 season.
WHEREAS, Rheagan Courville claimed a national championship in the vault on
Sunday, April 20, 2014, in the individual competition with a score of 9.975, helping
Louisiana State University achieve its record-breaking season; and
WHEREAS, this is Courville's second straight national title in the vault for the Baton
Rouge native, who is the first Louisiana State University gymnast to win two national titles
on vault; and
WHEREAS, with performances like that of Courville, the Louisiana State University
gymnastics team with its third place finish is well on its way in the long journey to claim a
national championship for the team; and
WHEREAS, such great accomplishments by Rheagan Courville and all of the
gymnastics team are obtained with the excellent coaching of Head Coach D-D Breaux and
all of her wonderful assistant coaches and staff.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Rheagan Courville of the Louisiana State
University gymnastics team for her outstanding accomplishments and claiming a national
championship in the vault during the 2014 season.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that suitable copies of this Resolution be transmitted
to Rheagan Courville and Head Coach D-D Breaux.
