HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 158

A RESOLUTION1
To commend and congratulate New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church in Arcadia upon2
the occasion of its second anniversary celebration and to commend Pastor Audwin3
Millican upon his second pastoral anniversary.4
WHEREAS, New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church was founded in October,5
2012, in Arcadia, Louisiana; and6
WHEREAS, during its two years of growth and expansion, New Beginnings Full7
Gospel Baptist Church has tended to the spiritual concerns of its congregation with devotion8
and vigilance by providing for the development and nurturing of faith through church9
services, prayer service, Sunday school, and Bible study; and10
WHEREAS, recognizing the importance of community activities for spiritual11
strengthening and outreach, New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church has expanded its12
ministry beyond traditional services to include youth ministry, youth choir and young adult13
choir, and liturgical dance ministry; and14
WHEREAS, New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church has further shown its15
dedication to faith in action by encouraging its members to participate in community service16
projects, including prison ministry, school uniform drives to aid needy families in acquiring17
uniforms for children, and providing aid to the destitute and indigent; and18
WHEREAS, through God's kindness and mercy, New Beginnings Full Gospel19
Baptist Church has flourished for the past two years, and its members and leaders have the20
utmost trust that His grace will lead them on in harmony and thanksgiving as they celebrate21
as a community of faith and fellowship.22
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby23
commend New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church in Arcadia upon the occasion of its24
second church anniversary, does hereby congratulate Pastor Audwin Millican upon the25
celebration of his second pastoral anniversary, does hereby record for posterity the noble and26 ENROLLEDHR NO. 158

exemplary strides taken by the members and leaders of this special church family in their1
creation of a loving and dedicated spiritual community and does hereby extend its best2
wishes for the church's continued vitality and success in enriching the lives of the people it3
serves.4
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to5
Pastor Audwin Millican of New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church in Arcadia.6
