HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 16
BY REPRESENTATIVES BROADWATER AND KLECKLEY
A RESOLUTION
To commend Joshua Paul Scott upon receiving the American Future Farmers of America
Degree.
WHEREAS, the Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization has awarded Joshua
Paul Scott of Loranger, Louisiana, the American FFA Degree; and 
WHEREAS, the American FFA Degree is bestowed upon FFA members who have
shown the utmost dedication to the organization through their desire to develop their
potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural
education; and 
WHEREAS, this award recognizes Joshua's demonstrated capabilities and
outstanding achievements in agricultural business production, processing, and service
programs; and 
WHEREAS, Joshua was presented with the award at the 86
th
 National FFA
Convention and Expo in Louisville, Kentucky; and 
WHEREAS, the National FFA Organization has provided leadership, personal
growth, and education to over five-hundred thousand students across America, Puerto Rico,
and the Virgin Islands; and 
WHEREAS, Joshua is the son of Julius and Monette Scott of Husser, and he is a
2012 graduate of Loranger High School; and 
WHEREAS, Joshua is also a member of the Loranger FFA Chapter and is currently
enrolled at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he is majoring in
animal science; and 
WHEREAS, Joshua Paul Scott is one of Louisiana's finest sons, and he merits a
sincere measure of commendation and recognition for his extraordinary accomplishments. ENROLLEDHR NO. 16

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Joshua Paul Scott for
receiving the American Future Farmers of America Degree, does hereby recognize and
record for posterity the unique and notable achievement of this outstanding individual, and
does hereby extend enduring appreciation for the tremendous pride and honor that he brings
to his family, friends, community, and the state of Louisiana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Joshua Paul Scott.
