HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 31
BY REPRESENTATIVES LORUSSO AND HENRY
A RESOLUTION
To commend James Claitor for winning his second individual state wrestling title at the
Louisiana High School Athletic Association's state wrestling championship held at
the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, Louisiana, in February of 2014.
WHEREAS, James Claitor is the son of Sharmaine and Senator Dan Claitor and is
a senior at Catholic High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he is an outstanding
member of the Catholic High School wrestling team; and
WHEREAS, James Claitor won his first individual state wrestling title in 2013 in the
Louisiana Classic's one hundred forty pound division; and
WHEREAS, James Claitor currently holds two individual state wrestling titles, with
his most current title in the one hundred forty-five pound weight class; and
WHEREAS, along with James Claitor's notable individual state titles, he was named
as Athlete of the Week for the Baton Rouge area by NOLA.com in 2013; and
WHEREAS, Catholic High School's wrestling team won third place overall at the
state championship; and
WHEREAS, James Claitor, along with being a top finisher, serves as a team captain
and senior leader for the Catholic High School wrestling team.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend James Claitor for winning his second
individual state wrestling title at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association's state
wrestling championship.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature
of Louisiana hereby recognizes James Claitor as holding two individual state wrestling titles
and serving as a team captain and senior leader for the Catholic High School wrestling team. ENROLLEDHR NO. 31

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to James Claitor.
