AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 23:1553(G) and to enact R.S. 23:1514(E), relative to the2
Incumbent Worker Training Program; to extend the termination date of the fund; and3
to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 23:1553(G) is hereby amended and reenacted and R.S. 23:1514(E)6
is hereby enacted to read as follows:7
§1514. Worker training fund; purpose; training programs; eligibility criteria;8
program administration9

E. The provisions of this Section are subject to reauthorization as11
provided in R.S. 23:1553(G).12

§1553. Noncharging of benefits; recoupment; social charge account; social charge14
tax rate15

G. The Incumbent Worker Training Program reauthorization shall be17
expressly renewed by the legislature prior to July 1, 2014 2018, in order for amounts18
to be charged and credited to the Incumbent Worker Training Account in the19
following calendar year for use in funding the program.20
Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not21
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature22
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If23

vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become1
effective on the day following such approval.2
