AN ACT1
To amend and reenact the introductory paragraph of R.S. 13:841(A) and (2)(c) and (d),2
relative to miscellaneous fees in civil matters; to provide for setting limits on fees3
and establishing procedures for the receipt or issuance of certain documents by4
electronic means; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  The introductory paragraph of R.S. 13:841(A) and (2)(c) and (d) are7
hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:8
§841. Enumeration of fees in civil matters; miscellaneous9
A. The clerks of the several district courts may be entitled to demand and10
receive fees of office, which fees may be less than, but shall not exceed, the11
following amounts: set forth in this Section.  Any clerk of court that establishes12
procedures for the filing, receipt, or issuance of any of the following documents13
by electronic means shall establish fees for the filing, receipt, or issuance of14
electronic documents that shall not exceed the fee that would apply if the15
document was received, filed, or issued in paper.16

(c) Paper–exhibits, attachments, transcripts, and depositions–per page, two20
dollars Exhibits up to eight and one-half inches by fourteen inches, including but21
not limited to attachments, transcripts, and depositions, two dollars per page.22
(d) All other exhibits, five dollars All paper exhibits larger than eight and23
one-half inches by fourteen inches, five dollars per page and all other exhibits,24
