DIGEST Riser (SB 214) Present law provides for the number of assistant district attorneys for the various judicial districts. Proposed law increases the number of assistant district attorneys in particular judicial districts as follows: (1)5 th JDC from 6 to 7. (2)6 th JDC from 7 to 8. (3)7 th JDC from 5 to 6. (4)14 th JDC from 23 to 24. (5)16 th JDC from 21 to 22. (6)19 th JDC from 48 to 50. (7)20 th JDC from 5 to 6. (8)21 st JDC from 18 to 19. (9)24 th JDC from 52 to 54. (10)29 th JDC from 9 to 10. (11)36 th JDC from 4 to 5. (12)37 th JDC from 2 to 3. Notwithstanding the provisions of law relative to assistant district attorney salaries, the provisions paying for the additional positions shall become operative if, and only if, such salaries are funded from the amount of State General Fund or Statutory Dedications contained in HB No.1 of the 2014 Regular Session as received in the Senate or if the source of funding is from local or other sources. Effective August 1, 2014. Adds an additional ADA in the 6 th JDC. 2. Changes the number of ADA's in 14 th , 16 th , 19 th , 21 st , 24 th , and 29 th JDC's.
