AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 42:1113(D)(1)(a)(ii)(qq), relative to the Code of Governmental2
Ethics; to provide for prohibited contractual arrangements; to provide for certain3
individuals prohibited from contracting with state government; and to provide for4
related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 42:1113(D)(1)(a)(ii)(qq) is hereby amended and reenacted to read7
as follows:8

(ii) The provisions of this Subparagraph and other provisions which reference12
this Item shall apply to the following persons:13
(qq) Each member of the State Board of Elementary and Secondary14
Education The Executive Director of the State Board of Elementary and15
Secondary Education.16

Education from entering into any contract with state government.
Proposed law prohibits the Executive Director of the State Board of Elementary and
Secondary Education from entering into any contract with state government.
Effective August 1, 2014.
