HEALTH CARE. Provides for compensation for home and community-based health care
services. (8/1/14)
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 37:1031(F), relative to direct service workers; to provide relative to a per diem2
for certain services provided; and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1.  R.S. 37:1031(F) is hereby enacted to read as follows:5
ยง1031.  Applicability6

F.(1) The Department of Health and Hospitals shall reimburse the8
providers covered by this Section a per diem amount in addition to fees for9
services provided.10
(2) The per diem amount as provided for in this Subsection shall not be11
less than sixteen dollars and forty cents per day for recipients requiring12
medication administration and not less than eleven dollars and ninety-eight13
cents per day for other recipients.14 SB NO. 621

Proposed law provides the Department of Health and Hospitals shall reimburse the providers
of direct service workers a per diem amount in addition to fees for services provided.
Proposed law provides the per diem amount as provided for in the proposed law shall not be
less than $16.40 per day for recipients requiring medication administration and not less than
$11.98 per day for other recipients.
Effective August 1, 2014.
