Present law requires the commissioner of agriculture to collect assessments on seed rice from the
handler performing the cleaning of the seed rice.
Proposed law requires the commissioner to collect assessments on seed rice from the producer of
the seed rice or from the handler performing the cleaning of the seed rice.
Effective August 1, 2014.
