Bill Information: 
 
Current Law 
 
Act 483 of 2012 regular session provided for the implementation of a cash balance plan. This Act was declared unconstitutional 
by the Louisiana Supreme Court in 2013. 
 
Proposed Law 
 
SB 673 removes all references to the cash balance plan in Title 11 of Revised Statutes. 
 
Implications of the Proposed Changes 
 
SB 673 is technical, removing language of the law that is no longer applicable.
