AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 42:1111(C)(1)(b), relative to the Code of Governmental Ethics;2
to provide for certain restrictions for payment from nonpublic sources; and to3
provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 42:1111(C)(1)(b) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as6
follows: 7
ยง1111. Payment from nonpublic sources8

C. Payments for nonpublic service.10
(1) No public servant shall receive any thing of economic value for any11
service, the subject matter of which:12

(b) Draws substantially upon official data or ideas which that have not14
become part of the body of public information.15
