SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 120
BY SENATORS MURRAY AND ALARIO AND REPRESENTATIVES HENRY, LEGER
AND LORUSSO 
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON
To commend the Jesuit High School varsity lacrosse team upon winning the 2014 Louisiana
High School State Championship.
WHEREAS, the Jesuit High School varsity lacrosse team completed a sensational
season,earning the title of 2014 State Champions after defeating St. Paul's High School by
a score of 11-4 to win the Louisiana State Championship game at St. Thomas More Stadium
on April 27, 2014; and
WHEREAS, this is the third consecutive state championship title for the Blue Jays;
and
WHEREAS, the championship win was the culmination of another unforgettable
season; and
WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence
throughout the 2014 season and playoffs, and each of these great Blue Jays deserves
recognition for his vital contributions to the winning effort; and
WHEREAS, Arman Alizadeh scored four goals, earning the honor of Most Valuable
Player-Offense; and
WHEREAS, Eric Wright had eleven saves and held the opposing team to four goals,
earning the honor of Most Valuable Player-Defense; and
WHEREAS, Defensive standouts Colby Simoneaux, Paul Stapp, Gray Cressy,
Tanner Burgess, and Robert Montenegro disrupted St. Paul's scoring; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Nimmo (3), Cameron Guernsey (2), Jacob Cassagne (1),
Dominic Sunseri (1) scored goals for the Blue Jays; and
WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved
without the guidance and skills of Coach Mike Brantley and his coaches as well as all of the
other individuals who have contributed to the success of the school's lacrosse program; and SCR NO. 120	ENROLLED

WHEREAS, the team's outstanding 2014 season upholds the glorious tradition of the
Blue Jays, and all Jesuit High School alumni and fans recognize the immense pride and
distinguished honor that the team brings to its school, community, and state.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend the Jesuit High School varsity lacrosse team upon winning the 2014 Louisiana
High School State Championship and does hereby extend best wishes to the players,
coaches, and everyone involved with this outstanding lacrosse program as they celebrate
their exceptional season and prepare for continued success in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Coach
Mike Brantley.
