SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 26
BY SENATOR ERDEY AND REPRESENTATI VE POPE
ROADS/HIGHWAYS. Requests DOTD to advance the project to construct roundabouts on
LA 1026 at its intersections with Dunn and Eden Church Roads in Livingston Parish.
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To urge and request the Department of Transportation and Development to advance the2
project to construct roundabouts on Louisiana Highway 1026 at its intersections with3
Dunn and Eden Church Roads in Livingston Parish.4
WHEREAS, the Highway Priority Program for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 includes5
Project H.011189-Louisiana Highway 1026 at Dunn and Eden Church Roundabouts for6
roundabout intersection improvements in Livingston Parish; and7
WHEREAS, such program lists this project in Stage 3-Design/Development; and 8
WHEREAS, completion of this project's design and its advancement to construction9
is urgently needed to accommodate traffic, to improve traffic flow, and to prevent traffic10
congestion as a result of vehicles making left turns from Louisiana Highway 1026.11
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby12
urge and request the Department of Transportation and Development to advance the project13
to construct roundabouts on Louisiana Highway 1026 at its intersections with Dunn and14
Eden Church Roads in Livingston Parish.15
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana further requests the16
Department of Transportation and Development to submit a written report to advise when17
the design for such project will be complete and when the project will be scheduled for18 SCR NO. 26

letting to contract to the Senate Committee on Transportation, Highways, and Public Works1
and the House Committee on Transportation, Highways, and Public Works not later than2
October 1, 2014.3
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the4
secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development.5
