SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 27

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON
To commend Annie Clae Barousse on her 2013 equine accomplishments in various
professional rodeos.
WHEREAS, Annie Barousse started her equine experiences by showing halter and
showmanship in 2006, and has won yearly championships; and
WHEREAS, she and her equine partner, "Smart Cuttin Peppy," have amassed an
impressive list of accomplishments in 2013; and
WHEREAS, she won the Reining Youth Championship of the Dixie National Paint
Rodeo in Jackson, Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, she won the Senior Youth Reining Championship of the Pinto World
Championship Horse Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma; and
WHEREAS, she won the Youth Reining Championship of the Pinto Horse
Association of America; and
WHEREAS, she won the Senior Youth Reining Championship of the Louisiana 4-H
and FFA State Horse Show in West Monroe, Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, while currently pursuing a nursing degree from Louisiana State
University, she is an active member who competes in the Amateur/Non Pro Division of each
association, with the exception of 4-H; and
WHEREAS, she has certainly earned this statewide recognition of her
accomplishments in the professional rodeo circuit.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend and congratulate Annie Clae Barousse for her outstanding accomplishments and
does hereby extend every good wish for continued success and happiness in her future
endeavors. SCR NO. 27 ENROLLED
